Mobile Service Terms

1. Service Overview

Hermes Telco provides SIM-only mobile services operating on the Telstra 4G and 5G network via our wholesale partner, Partner Wholesale Networks (PWN). By ordering a mobile service, you agree to these terms in addition to our General Terms of Service.

2. Identity Verification

Under the Telecommunications (Service Provider — Identity Checks for Prepaid Mobile Carriage Services) Determination 2017, we are required to verify your identity before activating any prepaid mobile service. We collect and verify your:

  • Full name and date of birth
  • Residential address
  • Government-issued photo ID (Driver Licence, Passport, or Proof of Age Card)

Your service will not be activated until identity verification is complete. Providing false identification is a criminal offence.

3. Plan Types

Prepaid (Month-to-Month): Charged monthly with no lock-in contract. You may cancel at any time. Unused data does not roll over unless otherwise stated in your plan details.

12-Month SIM Only: Charged monthly for a minimum 12-month term. Early cancellation may incur an early termination fee equal to the remaining monthly charges.

4. Network & Coverage

Our mobile services operate on the Telstra network. Coverage is subject to Telstra's network availability. We do not guarantee coverage in all areas. Check coverage at the Telstra coverage checker before ordering. Coverage in remote areas may be limited.

5. Fair Use Policy

All plans are subject to a fair use policy. Unlimited call and SMS inclusions are for standard personal use only. Use of automated calling, bulk SMS, SIM boxes, or commercial use is prohibited and may result in suspension or cancellation.

6. International Calls (IDD)

IDD (International Direct Dialling) is included on selected plans as indicated in the plan description. IDD is subject to fair use. Calls to satellite phones, premium numbers, and some destinations may not be included.

7. Number Porting

You may port your existing Australian mobile number to Hermes Telco. Porting typically takes 1–2 business days. During porting, there may be brief service interruption. You must not cancel your existing service before porting is complete.

8. Suspension & Cancellation

We may suspend or cancel your service for non-payment, misuse, or breach of these terms. Prepaid services not renewed within 90 days of expiry may be cancelled and your number released. We will provide reasonable notice before cancellation where possible.

9. Refunds

Monthly plan fees are non-refundable once a billing period has commenced. If we cancel your service due to our error, we will provide a pro-rata refund for the unused portion of your plan.

10. SMS Sender ID Register

From July 2026, Hermes Telco will participate in the ACMA SMS Sender ID Register. Messages sent with unregistered sender IDs may be blocked. We will notify all customers about this change as required under the Telecommunications (SMS Sender ID Register) Industry Standard 2025.
